Message from the BCHS President

We have been requesting memories, stories and photos of formrer and present residents of the Britt community. My thanks go out to the lady from Cambridge, MN that is a summer resident at Lake Leander for the photo of White City, a dance pavilion that once stood at that lake in the first half of the 20th century. BCHS had been aware of it's existence, but did not have a photo!

We sometimes do not realize that we have history in our possesion, It could be in the form of something mentioned in a letter from parents or grandparents, or even an old property abstract and of course old family photos. Saved newspaper clippings are also a part of our history.

When you send those items, the originals can be returned to you as we can scan them and return them to you at your request. We welcome all submissions.

BCHS looks forward to the participation and input from all members of the Britt Community, past and present.

This blog post is excellent probably because of how well the subject was developed. I like some of the comments too though I would prefer we all stay on the subject in order add value to the subject!
